Environmental Analysis, informally known as EA, is an academic program of students and faculty interested in the Environmental Complex - how humanity and the environment relate to one another.  Being a complex program with courses crossing over 20 disciplines at all five Claremont Colleges, this website is a reflection of the diverse interests and resources of the EA community.

Farm Security Bulletin

In response to quite serious vandalism of the Pomona Organic Farm this summer, the college is announcing a policy of strict enforcement of the longstanding requirement that farm visitors have either a Claremont Consortium ID or a Farm Pass. CUC Security will ask those on the Farm for IDs and those without the appropriate identification will be asked to leave. Signs have been posted near entrances to the Farm to notify all visitors of the new enforcement procedures; additional security measures are being evaluated. The Farm always has been a welcome and warm gathering spot for the campus and community, and we hope by these measures to also make it a safe one for those who have enjoyed this bucolic setting and contributed to its remarkable growth.

Consumers get a taste of farm life

In the age of grocery stores and supermarkets many consumers are unfamiliar with the origin and production of their food, which is why in High Country North Carolina, the Blue Ridge Women In Agriculture (BRIWA) are bringing people closer to local farms.  In early August community members will be able to take tours of several High Country farms, organized in part by Mel Weiss ('09), the program director for the Farm Tour.
